Pfizer, Çalık Holding, Alarko Holding and other foreign companies signed new contracts for projects in Kazakhstan worth $1.6 billion
Within the framework of the VI Kazakhstan Round Table on Global Investments (KGIR) with the participation of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, awarding ceremonies for the best foreign investors and signing contracts for the implementation of new projects in Kazakhstan were held.
This year, the best investors were awarded in 10 nominations in such sectors of the economy as healthcare, education, energy, agriculture, etc.
In particular, the companies Knauf Group (long-term partnership), Wabtec Corporation (investment activity), Eni S.p.A. (sustainable development), Honeywell (innovative production), Coca Cola Içecek Kazakhstan (social responsibility) were noted.
In addition, industry awards were awarded to representatives of Aitas KZ JSC – for their contribution to the development of the potential of the agro–industrial complex, Ordamed JSC – for their contribution to the development of healthcare, Nobel AFF JSC – for their contribution to the development of the pharmaceutical industry, Alarko Holding – for their contribution to infrastructure development and Alageum Electric JSC - for contribution to the development of human capital.
On the sidelines of KGIR-2023, in the presence of the Prime Minister, 26 memoranda and commercial documents worth $1.6 billion were also signed in such sectors of the economy as agriculture, MMC, healthcare, light industry, mechanical engineering, education, production of building mixes and chemical products.
Thus, Pfizer will establish the production of the innovative pneumococcal vaccine Preventar 20 in Kazakhstan. Çalık Holding company will build a plant for processing legumes in Kostanay region. Business conglomerate Alarko Holding has signed an agreement with the Akimat of Shymkent on the construction of greenhouses. Lasselsberger group will build a complex for the production of construction glue and dry mixes. Roche plans to localize original biotechnological medicines. Işıklar Packaging will build a factory for the production of craft paper packaging. Alstom will open a car repair depot and a head service center for electric locomotives in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
